Band000

Mama’s Love is an American Rock band formed in Athens, Ga. in 2007.  Like the town where the band resides, the sound is progressive with hints of classic tones.  Live energetic shows, definitive song craftsmanship, and a genre-defying sound have formed the buzz that follows the Mama's Love experience.  They maintain a strong sense of tradition in classic American music, while staying progressive with their improvisational segments and song structures. Catchy melodies, lyrical hooks, and layered harmonies are supported by a tight rhythmic foundation with a classic rock, funk, soul, and americana flavor, harvesting their songs from the roots of time.
Continuous touring has built a devoted fanbase across major music markets throughout the country.  With influences like Little Feat, The Grateful Dead, and The Band, they play with rare maturity and integrity.  The demand to play in clubs, theaters, and college events across the country has been increasing with the rise of their musicianship, and the
reception of their rowdy and loyal fanbase.  The success of Mama’s Love today springs from strong creative chemistry, energetic live performances, and an ever-growing arsenal of classic songs.

Great to see you guys in Richmond, Va at the Camel. Amazing as usual, and as usual you outshone the band you opened for. They are a Richmond favorite and a band I like a lot, but the crowd was crazy about you. p.s. I notice the post is off the board now, but to the guy who gave you some grief about the loss of Bo - you should have heard Doyle's solo's. If that had been the first time I saw Mama's Love, I would have thought you had all been together for a long time. Carry on!

More info on the 7/12 DC shows: A triple header day of music, starting with a noon show at Fairgrounds "South on South Capitol", followed by an afternoon set (5:30) at Hill Country Backyard, and ending the night with a rowdy return to Bayou on Penn (10:30). You won't want to miss the Bayou show, but by all means, come out to all 3 shows and get 3-4 diverse sets of Mama's Love music.

I'm thinking of going to DC on July 12th. You have three events listed in DC that day. The venue websites are confusing. Could you clarify what is going on that day??

I've been meaning to write since your last show in Harrisonburg, VA. We were there that night at the Blue Nile and were really impressed at the growth of the band over the months since we'd seen you. The improvisation and musicianship was amazing. All who were there, including the locals who had come to see the other band, were blown away. This was the first time we'd seen Ross Bogan on keyboards. I think he really adds to the group and he seems to be a big part of the expanded jamming and improvisation. Glad to see you are adding some festivals. That should be good for building your fanbase. If you guys aren't driving around in a big Prevost and playing 1000 seat venues before long I will be surprised. Keep at it and come back to central VA.
